The title of this piece comes from the quote by Carl Sagan, “The cosmos is within us. We are made of star-stuff. We are a way for the universe to know itself.”

When you think about how all the molecules of heavy elements that we are made up of were forged in the deaths of ancient stars, it really puts into perspective how incredible our existence is. It also show how fleeting that existence is, we’re only here for a short time, and the importance of love and kindness.
